Smart Cycling Class February 14 & 16

This two day TS 101 course includes: classroom lectures, bike handling skills on a closed course, a written test, and a road ride that will allow participants to practice their cycling skills. Topics to cover including proper bike type and selection, starting, stopping, shifting and scanning, learn how to ride in traffic, proper lane and intersection positioning, and crash avoidance techniques.
This course will go rain or shine, and will be offered by the City of New Haven’s League of American Bicyclists certified instructors
Upon successful completion of the written and skill-testing portions, participants will receive a Certificate.

This class meets the prerequisite for taking a League Certified Instructor course.

Time: 3:00PM to 7:00PM

Cost: Class usually costs $100 per person but it is offered for just $20 to New Haven residents. $20 includes the Manual and Certificate.
A fully functional bike and a certified bike helmet are required to participate in this course. Loaner bikes, lights, and helmets will be available for those in need.
