There is strong interest in walking especially, and in biking, among older adults in New Haven, including people in their nineties. Take a look at http://www.nyc.gov/html/dot/html/sidewalks/safeseniors.shtml and related websites. Our Parks Department has been creative and energetic in obtaining 3-wheeled bikes and a flatbed trailer to transport them. Much to celebrate, much more visioning and work ahead as your planning document notes.
