Help us break last year’s record turnout (153) for May’s Bike to Work Day breakfast, Friday, May 16, 7:30-9:30 a.m. in front of the Devil’s Gear on Pitkin Plaza, Orange Street between Court and Chapel. Free breakfast, courtesy of Elm City Market, giveaways, CT Transit bike rack demonstration, and a chance to schmooze with other cyclists and policy makers. Rain or shine (hope for shine!)
Then join the ECC Rock to Rock team to help raise money to buy taillight display space. $250 will put a PSA like this on the back of a bus for four weeks.

Bike to Work Day is Friday, May 17th. Stop by Pitkin Plaza, in front of the Devil’s Gear, 151 Orange Street, between 7:30-9:30 a.m. for a free breakfast, the release of Elm City Cycling’s 2013 Bike Plan, a chance to check out the bike rack on a city bus, and more! For all cyclists (even if you’re not biking to work) and commuting pedestrians. Sponsored by the Devil’s Gear. We had 125 folks at last May’s BTW breakfast and still got beat out by Hartford. Let’s stir up a little New Haven-Hartford competition and win this year! See you there!
Want to help encourage the next generation of women cyclists? Volunteer at our Girl’s Bike Club, a joint project of Elm City Cycling and Farnam Neighborhood House. The program runs through the end of May on Saturday mornings from 9:30–11:30AM at Farnam Neighborhood House. We are looking for volunteers to accompany the group on bike rides and serve as positive role models to the girls. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
