East Coast Greenway / Farmington Canal Trail North
Saturday 19 June / 9 am – Noon

Travel North from New Haven to Cheshire and learn about plans to connect the former rail trail to Northampton, MA. Visit historic Locks 12 and 14 before returning to New Haven. A representative of ECG will lead the ride and provide information and background on the trail.

New Haven’s Historic Districts
Sunday 20 June / 9 am – Noon

What are local historic districts? How do they help preserve New Haven’s unique character? Join New Haven Historic District Commissioner and preservation specialist Doug Royalty for a tour of the city’s three local districts. Discover the rich history and architecture of Wooster Square, City Point, and the Quinnipiac River section of Fair Haven.

New Haven Bike / Walk Present and Future
Sunday 20 June / 2 – 5 pm

Tables and ballards are cropping up on city streets everywhere. Find out what it all means for walkers and bikers now and what is in store for the future. Discover the answer to “what’s a sharrow?”

New Haven Smorgasbord Ride
Wednesday 23 June / 5:30 – 7 pm

Developed for the East Coast Greenway to entice bicyclists into New Haven, tour around the city and visit both popular and unknown sites alike. Finish with ice cream, of course.

East Coast Greenway South
Saturday 26 June / 9 am – Noon

Travel South on the East Coast Greenway to Silver Sands State Park in Milford. This section of the ECG incorporates the Vision Trail, the Harbor side trail, the Long Wharf Nature Preserve, and the Savin Rock Trail. representative of ECG will lead the ride and provide information and background on the trails.

Planes, Trains, and Trolleys
Saturday 26 June / 2 – 5 pm

Travel back to New Haven’s not too distant past and discover the development of transportation in the city.

Riding Mixed Surfaces
Sunday 27 June / 9 am – Noon

New Haven has it’s share of mixed surfaces often creating a challenge for even the most seasoned rider. Learn techniques from one of New Haven’s most prolific riders and skilled educators on the subject.

Stony Creek along the Shoreline Greenway Trail
Sunday 27 June / 9 am – 3 pm

Saddle up for this full day excursion to the enchanting Stony Creek. Travel along the existing portions of the Shoreline Greenway Trail and discover how easy and beautiful it is to get to shoreline destinations. We will lunch at Stony Creek, either brown bag or there will be cafe options as well. Bring spare tubes.
