Bicycle Friendly America Celebration

The League of American Bicyclists Bicycle Friendly America celebration is coming up this Saturday to New Haven. If you have not yet registered, there is still a place for you. Join us at 1:00pm at the Klein Geology Building of Yale University at 210 Whitney Avenue (next to the Yale Peabody Museum) Room 119.You can pay the registration fee of $25 at the door or you can pay now through Bike Walk Connecticut, which has called the meeting with the League of American Bicyclists.

Join other LCIs in Connecticut and spend the afternoon with Rich Conroy, Education Director at Bike NY and a League Coach. Meet Bill Nesper, Executive Director of the League, Karen Jenkins, Chair of the Board of Directors, and Gail Copus Spann, Vice Chair. All three are LCIs and Gail is a Coach.

Come early and join a bike ride in New Haven led by LCIs from Elm City Cycling.  The ride is free and open to all and will start promptly at 10:00 am from the Yale Peabody Museum. From 5:00 pm to 6:00pm there will be a reception in the Great Hall of the Peabody Museum to celebrate the launch of Bike New Haven, the new bike share program.

All LCIs who attend will receive a pass for complimentary use of Bike New Haven, a 20% discount from Po Campo Bags that will be good through the end of the year, and other special offers.
We will be joined by The Devil’s Gear, the Connecticut Mental Health Center, both Bicycle Friendly Businesses, Thomson Bike Tours and other sponsoring organizations.
